1. About these Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the sale of products by Bathing Aromas (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“customer”, “you”) through the webshop at https://aromasalt.shop. Bathing Aromas is registered in the Netherlands at Ijbruglaan 1495, 1087 KM Amsterdam. By placing an order you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.
2. Products and descriptions
We sell bathing aromas, bath salts and gift sets. We make every effort to describe our products accurately, including ingredients, scent profiles and intended use. Product images are for illustration; natural ingredients may vary slightly in colour and texture between batches. Such variation does not constitute a defect.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are displayed in euro (€) and include value-added tax (VAT) where applicable under Dutch and EU law. Shipping costs are shown separately at checkout before you confirm your order. We accept the payment methods presented at checkout. Your order is only binding once payment has been authorised and we have confirmed the order by email.
4. Orders and order confirmation
After you place an order you will receive an email confirming receipt. This confirmation does not yet constitute acceptance of your order; acceptance occurs when we dispatch the goods or send a separate dispatch confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of obvious pricing errors, suspected fraud, or unavailability of stock.
5. Shipping and delivery
We dispatch orders from the Netherlands, normally within one business day of receiving cleared payment. Estimated delivery times are indicative and not guaranteed. Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery by the carrier to the address you provided. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us and we will work with the carrier to resolve the matter.
6. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)
As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. To exercise this right you must notify us clearly before the 14-day period expires, for example by email to [email protected]. You must return the goods within 14 days of your notification, unused and in their original packaging. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. We will reimburse all payments received, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return, using the same means of payment you used. For hygiene reasons, opened or used bathing and cosmetic products cannot be returned unless faulty.
7. Conformity, defects and warranty
We warrant that our products conform to the description and are fit for their normal purpose. If a product is faulty or not as described, please contact us within a reasonable time. Where EU consumer law grants you statutory rights in respect of defective goods, those rights apply in addition to these Terms.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Our products are cosmetic and aromatherapy products; they are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any disease. Always patch-test new products and follow the instructions on the label.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos and product descriptions, is owned by Bathing Aromas or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute or reuse this content without our prior written consent.
10. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. The European Commission provides an online dispute-resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time of your order applies to that order. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
